Production Engineer Fresh Foods

We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Engineer to work in our Fresh Food division (Wolverhampton), who is passionate about their role in offering excellent service and standards to our customers. We are looking for someone who is motivated, friendly,and able to work on their own initiative.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will support production to maintain all equipment to a high mechanical standard and maximise 'up time' of all plant and machinery to ensure production runs efficiently.

**Production Engineer Responsibilities**:

- Be able to carry out full site maintenance to all plant equipment, machinery and buildings.
- Attending and repairing equipment breakdowns as well as carrying out preventative maintenance tasks whilst keeping downtime to a minimum using fault finding techniques
- To ensure all equipment is functional and safe at all times
- Installation of new or relocated equipment in line with design plans and timescales
- To ensure PPM schedule is followed and updated
- All PPM’s to be completed on time.
- All work within production areas is expected to be carried out to the highest Food Safety Standards

**Production Engineer Requirements**:

- Process and packing experience highly desirable from a similar food manufacturing environment
- ONC or HND engineering is desirable
- Health & Safety Qualification is desirable
- Full awareness and working understanding of Health and Safety legislation relating to engineering services, plant and equipment
- Be comfortable working as an individual or as part of a team, using own initiative to solve complex problems
- The ability to build good working relationships cross functionally
