**Communications Officer**:
We are looking for a Communications Officer to join Samaritans in Wales. You’ll provide communications support to Samaritans Cymru, playing a vital role in the planning and delivery of key projects. You’ll also support the Wales aspect of Samaritans campaigns, both those specific to Wales and where there is a Wales contribution to a wider campaign, liaising with colleagues in Wales and in the wider organisation.
It’s a great time to join Samaritans as we’re currently delivering our Samaritans Cymru’s 2 year strategic delivery plan.
This role is varied. One day you could be drafting a press release and the next, supporting a local branch with an event or helping us deliver our wider policy calls for change.
We are a flexible and inclusive organisation. Our team is growing, and you’ll deliver increased awareness, policy, and fundraising campaigns in Wales. We are moving from strength to strength and this role will make a real and lasting difference to ensure fewer lives are lost to suicide.
- £27,000-£30,000 per annum plus benefits
- Permanent role
- Full time (35 hours per week)
- Hybrid working: Regular office working in Cardiff and home working
- In-office working: The team often work from the office once or twice per week

**Samaritans in Wales**
We reach out to groups where there is a high risk of suicide and emotional distress. We work in partnership with other agencies to achieve change locally and inform policy decisions which have an impact on suicide risk.
