The Company:
We are pleased to be supporting a successful, expanding North east business in their search for a Product Technologist.
This role forms a pivotal part of the senior management team and as such is an excellent opportunity for someone experienced in quality assurance and product development to really make an impact and make the role their own.

The Role:
Reporting into the MD, some of the key responsibilities for the role will include:

- Management of suppliers across the far east, ensuring quality standards are met and maintained
- Accountability for managing the fault range report and feeding back to suppliers, as well as implementing a solution
- Following up on fixes to ensure they have been implemented after agreement with supplier
- On boarding of new suppliers with travel to the FE 1-2 times per year
- Involvement in new products and specifications
- Management of a small team

The Person:

- Meticulous attention to detail
- Highly organised and confident following up on tasks
- Ability to influence, ensuring new processes/fixes are implemented by suppliers and checked by the WH team
- Commercial mindset
- Proactive approach and confidence to make the job their own
