Better Placed are currently working with a globally recognised FMCG food company who are looking for a Specification Technologist (12 Month FTC), you will be reporting directly to the Head of Technical.

**The Role**:

- Own and manage all technical data in the various formats for specific brands
- Own the technical product spec form for specific brands, ensuring it is up to date, compliant with company values and legal frameworks and completed correctly
- Issue change notifications to relevant people if changes are made to a technical or marketing spec and manage vision control
- Understand and manage the banned ingredients list for all relevant SKUs
- Create technical pack copy for relevant NPD & EPD and artwork changes to an agreed template, based on the agreed food and pack design
- Supply technical information for the product bible to marketing and update as specifications are updated or amended
- Supply correct technical information as needed for registration documents
- Review concept and final artwork to ensure technical pack copy is accurate and reflective of the product
- Assist with export and registration documents with the requested technical specs
- Work with regulatory to ensure all labelling is correct and compliant for relevant markets
- Following liaison with the product team, advise factories and third parties on recipe creation or amendments to deliver product with meets the standards whilst following change control processes

**The Person**:

- Educated to degree level within a food or science discipline
- Proficient in presentation skills
- Leadership skills
- Minimum 1 years’ experience working in a specifications role within an FMCG company
