**ROLE - Operations Director**
**LOCATION - West Midlands**
We have partnered with a global organisation in the West Midlands area who are renowned for manufacturing high-quality, specialist parts and are hiring now for an Operations Director to join one of their divisions now on a permanent basis. The company are amulti-faceted manufacturer and are widely considered to be market leading experts in their industry.
The Operations Director has the responsibility, accountability and authority for achieving department profitability in the least wasteful way, controlling profit & loss as well as all resources to reach objectives.
**The Operations Director will be responsible for**:

- Value stream profitability
- Delivering against operational, programme and engineering objectives
- Developing value stream strategy
- Owning customer relationships for existing and future value stream programmes
- Identifying and implementing Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Establishing targets supported by key performance and driver measures
- Profit & loss management
- Programme management

**The Operations Director will ideally have the following skills/experience**:

- Ideally degree educated in a related engineering field
- Extensive experience in operations and program management within a product or manufacturing engineering environment
- Ability to manage multi-disciplined teams
- Change control and governance
- Solid problem solving techniques
- Knowledge of Lean principles
- Profit & loss management
- Excellent communication skills
