**About this client/child**:
Paul aged 19 is a lovely young man who enjoys listening to, and discovering new music. He has an interest in caravans and enjoys watching videos of them on YouTube. He’s had a touring caravan for the last few years and has become a real expert on them Healso enjoys gardening, shopping, swimming, and going to the cinema. Paul has cerebral palsy due to a brain injury at birth. This affects his whole body and he requires full support with all aspects of daily living. Paul loves eating and drinking orally, toppedup via gastrostomy. He has a power chair and enjoys the independence this gives him. Paul has communication difficulties and communicates using a computer, limited speech, and gestures.
**Overview of role**:
We are recruiting for a Bank / Casual Support Worker to assist and guide Paul with his daily living and meet all aspects of his care and support needs.You will implement support as advised by Paul’s team of therapists, record information relating to Paul’scare, and liaise with his family and the many health professionals involved. Bank Hours are available to cover when Paul is absent from college and for the sickness and annual leave of the care team. These shifts will be ad hoc to meet Paul's needs, typicalshifts will be within these times: During Term Time: Monday to Friday, 7.15 am to 8.45 am, then Monday to Friday, 3.45 pm to 8.45 pm. Weekend shifts and School Holidays: 8.00am to 10.00 am, 10.00 am to 6.00 pm and 6.00 pm 9.00 pm. There are also sleeping nightshifts available, 10.30 pm to 7.00 am, £80.75 weekdays and £89.25 gross per night weekends.

This role will suit someone with a fun attitude, strong sense of humour and a real team player Prior care experience whilst desirable is not required but you should have a willingness to learn and a desire to undertake training. This is a bank position, soyou will not be committed to work set shifts, but you should have good availability within the hours and days that may be required.
