Temporary Packer

**Reporting to** - Business Manager & Production Coordinator

Our lovely packer is heading to university so we are looking for another bright, proactive individual to join our small team.

Working for a high end ceramics business, we are looking for someone with attention to detail and an organised and systematic approach to work with us on a temporary basis.

There may be the opportunity for this to become a permanent role for the right person.

**Hours**: 15-20 hours a week over 3-4 days. Some flexibility required.

**Location**: All packing work is based at our Workshop in Burcombe, outside of Wilton.

Pay Rate: John Julian offer the 21 years and over National Living Wage to all employees - £12.21 per hour depending on experience.

**MAIN DUTIES**

**PACKING TASKS**
- Prepare and pack ceramics safely and with care accordingly to company guidelines and packing paperwork and in line with instruction received from the Production Coordinator.
- Pick, check and pack stock for retail, trade and wholesale orders according to business needs.
- Keep stock area and packing areas tidy.
- Communicate stock movements and record all ad hoc decreases / increases in First stock.
- Assist with storing
- Assist with storage and packing of Seconds stock

**ORDER FULFILMENT**
- Web Orders

Prepare and pack orders for dispatch.
- Wholesale and Trade

Prepare and pack orders ready for dispatch on pallet/ or for posting as requested.
- Returns

Unpack, assess and return to shelves, notify Production Coordinator.
- Showroom Sales

Pack if requested by Business Manager/Office Administrator.

**SHOWROOM / OFFICE**
- Maintain showroom displays in orderly condition. Update displays when requested.
- To receive information/training as relevant for updated or new systems so able to provide effective cover.

**OTHER**
- Web Order Fulfilment via Shopify/Xero/Parcelforce to assist Ops Asst.
- Able to work to schedule with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities when required.
- Assist Workshop team with sanding pieces prior to storing in First and Second stock areas.
- Other ad hoc duties as may be reasonably requested.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From £12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
