**Finance Business Partner - Stock
£45,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Hamilton Woods Associates is recruiting for a great business in Northamptonshire who are looking to strengthen their finance team through the addition of a Finance Business Partner who can provide commercial decision support around stock control, liaisingwith internal operations and commercial departments. As the finance team is underdeveloped in terms of its business partnering capability, you will work with the business in terms of defining what it needs from you and ensure the necessary reports and analysisare in place.

**ROLE**:

- Responsible for the accounting for Stock at both a gross and net stock level, in line with appropriate accounting standards and the completion of monthly financial submissions to provide analysis of stock movements and closing balances.
- Responsible for the Buying Gains, Inflation Gains and Gross Margin Variance monthly processes. This includes the review and challenge of the outcome and identifying areas for further investigation.
- Responsible for supporting branches and the Operations and Commercial teams with stock and GMV related queries.
- Responsible for coaching, reviewing the work of the Stock Analyst and ensuring that the workload of that role is appropriate.
- Accountable for all balance sheet reconciliations related to stock accounting.
- Responsible for working with the external auditors on understanding stock accounting processes and validation of balances.
- Accountable for the identification and implementation of process improvements in the Stock and GMV accounting processes.
- Ad-hoc requirements as required.

**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:

- Ideally qualified accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA with industry or practice.
- Experience within a business partnering role with a focus on decision support to commercial and operational stakeholders and a demonstrable track record of influencing decisions
- Track record of driving continuous improvement to reports and KPIs
- Experience within the retail sector would be advantageous
- Strong IT Skills, including Excel
- Strong communication and relationship building skills to be able to work with non-finance stakeholders
