**The Role**
We are looking for a hard-working, proactive team player to join our operations team. You’ll have a great eye for detail, a good sense of humour and the ability to remain precise while working under pressure and to tight deadlines.

This role would suit someone with **a minimum of 2 years’ experience** in the courier / transport / logistics / freight industry - whether that’s been as a driver, in operations, or in import/export / freight forwarding.

Main Responsibilities
- Calculating which vehicle to allocate, using weights and dimensions
- Efficient route planning for our vehicles
- Ensure a high level of attention to detail so customers receive a seamless service and drivers are fully aware of their instructions.
- Take bookings, send quotes and allocate jobs to drivers.
- Use IT systems confidently and be willing to learn and adapt to new systems and software.
- Update clients and systems with job status, costs, PODs and other key information.
- Carry out general office and administrative duties as required.
- Carry out some basic warehouse duties (stock counts, labelling, palletising).
- Undertake occasional driving duties - you MUST be able to drive a Luton van with tail lift.
- Learn quickly and retain information - an excellent memory is important.
- Handle out-of-hours calls when necessary (on a rota basis).

**Requirements**:

- Minimum **2 years’ experience** within the courier / transport / logistics / freight industry (office-based and/or as a driver).
- Previous experience in a fast-paced environment is highly beneficial.
- 5-year checkable work history.
- DBS check will be required.
- Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points for insurance purposes and no previous bans).
- Must live within approximately 15 miles of Heathrow Airport.
- Right to work in the UK.
