**Overview of the company**

A family owned company established in 1984 manufacturing high quality balcony systems using up-to-date technology and manufacturing processes.

**MAIN PRODUCT**:
Products are manufactured with aluminium profile sections and glass and securely packed ready for delivery to customers throughout the United Kingdom. Aluminium profiles are cut to size with computerised cutting machines according to individual customer requirements, fitted with fixing brackets and supplied with suitable glass to provide a secure and ascetically pleasing product that adds value to the customer’s home.

MAIN TASKS OF THE JOB:

- Driving Volkswagen Crafter 2 Axle Rigid Body Van.
- Undertaking regular maintenance checks on delivery van and informing management of any issues
- Assist with loading of products into the van for delivery to customer premises.
- Securing products within the van to ensure no damage during transit.
- Maintaining cleanliness of van at all times.
- Planning delivery routes with Logistic Manager.
- Contact customers on route to advise ETA.
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Deliver product to customer and ensure delivery notes are signed.
- Take photos of delivered goods as proof of delivery.
- When not delivering products, assist with product packing or other tasks as allocated by Operations Manager such as checking and packing glass; packing aluminium profiles; collating items for despatch; yard maintenance

**Qualifications**:

- Evidence of sound level of general education including GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
- Full, valid uk driving licence with no more than 6 points
- Willingness to participate in further training and development opportunities
- Forklift licence

Experience
- Experience in driving a commercial vehicle
- Experience in lifting and handling goods
- Experience of using GPS app
- Previous experience of working in a mechanical or technical environment
- Previous experience of working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Previous experience working in logistics

Skills/Knowledge
- Good communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to concentrate ensuring road safety

Outline Terms & Conditions

**Working Pattern**: Monday to Friday

**Hours of Work**: 7.30 to 4.30

**Driving Licence**: Full UK Manual Driving Licence, with no more than 6 penalty points

**Location**: as there are no reliable public transport links you must have the ability to travel to and from the company site
