We are seeking individuals who are passionate, tenacious and driven and can demonstrate the ability to follow processes to strict guidelines and timeframes, with clear attention to detail and the ability to work in a team. Full training will be provided by our industry-leading Training Academy with the opportunity to build on your existing skillset and develop your career as a Biotechnologist.
Suitable applicants will have prior experience in Manufacturing within a highly-regulated industry such as chemicals, electronics or food and will be looking to establish a career in the Biologics industry
**The Role**:
You will join our rapidly expanding Manufacturing team and will work both inside our cleanroom laboratories and outside the lab to manufacture cell and gene therapies as part of projects for clients, on a timely basis.
Upon commencing your employment, you will join our industry-leading Training Academy for an intensive programme covering mammalian cell culture, cleanroom operations and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) before transitioning into the Biotechnologist role.
**Responsibilities**:
Work at RoslinCT is fast paced, and no two days are the same. Your responsibilities will therefore be varied, but will include;
- Performing the manufacture of cellular and gene therapies according to the highest quality standards within a GMP controlled clean room environment, utilising mammalian cell culture.
- Ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety policies and embracing a Safety-First culture.
- Completing manufacturing and quality related documentation ensuring the safety and quality of our therapies.
- Ensuring that confidentiality of all information relating to clients and patients is maintained at all times.
- Planning and undertaking of Validation of new Manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Routine qualification, calibration and maintenance of manufacturing laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
- Supporting with the daily Manufacturing housekeeping activities, including but not limited to cleaning, stock control and ordering materials.
- Working on a shift pattern (exact shifts TBC, but likely to rotate between Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, Mon-Fri 7am-3pm, Mon-Fri 11am-7pm and weekend work).
**Skills and Experience**:
You will be able to demonstrate:
- Prior experience working in a highly-regulated Manufacturing environment including, but not limited to, chemicals, electronics or food.
- An interest in cell and gene therapies/advanced therapies.
- Effective communication skills in report writing/recording output, engaging with colleagues at all levels and professional liaison with customers.
- Excellent computer skills with experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.
