Axis Fitness is based in Gosforth, right in the heart of Gosforth Park. We are a privately owned gym and we pride ourselves on good old-fashioned service, ensuring every member gets our full attention at all times.

Our fully equipped gym offers exceptional facilities for members, we even have our own in-house Sports Massage Clinic.

Axis Fitness is looking for friendly, organised individuals who can multi-task between the role of a Gym Instructor and Receptionist.

This is a part-time position, between 15 - 20 hours per week.

Working patterns would be a mixture of week days, week day evenings until 9pm and week ends until 4pm. The rota runs on rotation basis so your shifts will vary with other Instructors. We can be flexible however depending on your circumstances.

You will run the gym reception desk, taking calls, making appointments, managing the booking system, dealing with member queries as well as maintaining our high standards of cleanliness.

You will manage inductions for new gym members, train our Gold members and and Personal Training clients on a one-to-one basis and offer training guidance and support to all gym members. You will host our Fit Camp classes in our dedicated outdoor training space.

You'll actively engage with our members through social media and keep them up to date with news and events in the gym.

- Natural ability to interact with all types of people
- Passion for leisure, fitness and customer service
- An organised and methodical mind, capable of multitasking
- Level 2 or 3 Gym Instructor qualified
