**Wellbeing Service Team Leader (Tobacco Dependency)**
**Salary**:Band 8: £33,945 - £36,647
**Contract**:5 year fixed term
**Hours: 37 hours per week

Located in the Civic Offices, Guildhall Square, Portsmouth plus travel to travel to venues P01-PO6, you will report to the Public Health Operations Manager (Wellbeing and Health Improvement)
The Wellbeing team provide services across the PO1 - PO6 locality in a range of venues including GP practices, hospital settings and community centres so the ability the ability to drive or to be willing to utilise public transport to travel to numerous locations throughout your working week is essential for this role.
In addition, the service provides telephone/virtual support. Some of the work undertaken will be targeting our most deprived communities, who suffer the greatest health inequalities.
The Wellbeing Service supports individuals to modify behaviours, improve their health, increase life expectancy, and to reduce health inequalities for people in Portsmouth.
**Your New Role**
You will line manage the work of Wellbeing Workers who are supporting individuals and families on all the risk factors listed above, but in particular tobacco dependency. This will involve regular supervisions; annual personal development plans and any performance or attendance matters that may lead to receiving guidance and working with HR formally. You will provide support and guidance to Senior Wellbeing Practitioners to implement workforce development interventions to the team and individuals with a tobacco dependency focus.
You will need to ensure an up to date and accurate caseload rota is in place with fair and effective processes to allocations so that clients are triaged into caseloads correctly and ongoing appointments are provided to meet client need. You will ensure cover is in place for times of annual leave and sickness.
The Team Lead role will monitor the performance of their team, reviewing caseloads to ensure good practice and compliance to the standard operating procedures, staff data management on the QuitManager system and be required to contribute to overall capacity management of staff resourcing. You will also be expected to oversee and monitor caseloads where there are any safeguarding issues.
The Team Leader will also be responsible for planning and evaluating health improvement projects across the PO1 - PO6 locality in a range of venues including GP practices, community centres and settings, hospitals and workplaces targeting our most deprived communities, who suffer the greatest health inequalities. Giving guidance and support to Senior Wellbeing Practitioners in implementing the project, supporting incremental reviews to highlight improvements.
As the Team Leader you will also be required to expand and build on current partnerships and work collaboratively with statutory and voluntary agencies, workplaces and hard to reach at risk groups.
**What you'll need to succeed**
You will have an excellent knowledge of the smokefree agenda, helping people to quit smoking. With experience of managing staff that provide health support to individuals. You will have a proven track record of leading a team and experience in delivering targeted population projects, from planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will have excellent analytical skills to enable effective data management, time management and the ability to work autonomously and be skilled working in partnership with partner organisations. You will have completed National Centre for Smoking Cessation and Training (NCSCT) Level 2 Practitioner or willingness to undertake on commencement of post.
