Complete Classroom Services are working with a special school that is dedicated to providing exceptional education and support for students with Multisensory Impairment (MSI), complex learning needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and sensory needs. They are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team and make a positive difference in the lives of our students.

As a Teaching Assistant supporting students with MSI, complex learning needs, ASD, and sensory needs, you will play a crucial role in supporting the holistic development and well-being of our students. Working closely with teachers and therapists, you will provide tailored support and guidance to help students overcome barriers to learning and participate fully in all aspects of school life.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with MSI, complex learning needs, ASD, and sensory needs, including academic support, communication support, behavior management, and personal care.
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering differentiated lessons and activities that meet the diverse needs of students, incorporating multisensory approaches and assistive technology where appropriate.
- Foster positive relationships with students, promoting self-esteem, independence, and social skills development.
- Support students during transitions between activities, classes, and locations, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
- Monitor student progress and well-being, recording and reporting on achievements and concerns as required.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to provide holistic support for students and their families.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with students with MSI, complex learning needs, ASD, and sensory needs, preferably within a special school or SEN setting.
- Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of the diverse needs of students with MSI, complex learning needs, ASD, and sensory needs, including knowledge of sensory processing difficulties and communication strategies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting the well-being and development of students with complex needs.
- Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to adapt to the changing needs of students and the school environment.
