**Company description** Welcome to our advert for the role of Retail Sales Associate. Since launching in September 2021 we have experienced rapid growth and we are recruiting to expand, we are opening a store in Newcastle, right in the middle of the main shopping district. We are working with high end brands in the menswear sector and have built a strong reputation in the local area. This role is ideal for someone wanting to join a small independent business at an exciting time and you will have scope to make changes and have a real impact on the business. - Assisting and advising customers on their choices and needs - Processing payments, refunds, and other functions and the specified till point. - Maintaining store cleanliness to a high standard (Housekeeping, front, and back house). - Handling returns and exchanges within the company policy. - Opening & closing the store - Merchandising skills, including the following: effective replenishment, standard and presentation which includes social media channels posting new products and "looks of the week" working with other staff. - Assist directors of the business in the creation of orders for wedding parties, store orders and stock replenishment - Attend Wedding fairs/shows - Help to build a brand identity - Accepting and processing deliveries of replenishment and/or customer collections and uploading to online platforms - To make up customer orders including wedding parties with all items ready for collection - To manage online orders and fulfilment from the store - Understanding customer queries, concerns, and complaints - dealing with them in a professional manner. - Working as a team to meet and exceed sales targets. Up to date product knowledge and services. - Help with the creation of store decoration/ design - Flexible working - Build and maintain positive trust/relationship with colleagues and customers. - Promote sales by employing up-selling and customer led shopping experience - Communicate with directors on a regular basis of ideas, concerns, and queries. - Networking & developing collaborations with other local businesses around your place of work to help develop the brand including local promotional activity and other ideas to assist hitting your place of works’ sales targets. - Weekends are essential - Overtime is very likely given the amount of customer footfall - Must have a valid UK driving licence - to potentially work in between both our Hexham and Newcastle stores For an informal chat regarding the role, call Stephen on 07858435120. **Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent **Salary**: From £10.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Company pension - Employee discount - Store discount Schedule: - Overtime Supplemental pay types: - Bonus scheme - Performance bonus **Experience**: - Retail sales: 1 year (preferred) - customer service: 1 year (preferred)
