Associate Head of School Paediatrics

The appointee will become a member of the School Executive Team. They will be expected to attend training committee meetings, and support and co-ordinate the work of the TPDs.
The role of Associate Head of School is to work with and support the NHS England Postgraduate Dean in leading the delivery of a wide range of functions, aligned to the NHS England mandate.
The post will be an initial 3-year secondment, with an option for extension upon discussion.
To support the Postgraduate Dean, Heads of Schools with their Associates work across the spectrum of health and where relevant, social care, within the context of a team, so that the provision of education reflects changing service models. This will deliver an integrated workforce comprising individuals from a spectrum of professional and other backgrounds.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.
NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you’ll usually need to be paid the ‘standard’ salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the ‘going rate’ for your job, whichever is higher. providing leadership and direction with respect to the quality of education and
training.
