We’re currently seeking caring and reliable **Bank Support Workers** to join our team in **Telford**. This flexible role is ideal for those who want to make a real difference while choosing shifts that fit around their availability.

**About the Role**

As a **Bank Support Worker**, you’ll work as part of a dedicated team supporting young people in their daily lives — helping them to develop independence, build confidence, and achieve their goals. You’ll provide emotional and practical support, ensuring each child receives the highest standard of care.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support young people with daily routines, activities, and personal development
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people
- Promote independence, life skills, and healthy lifestyles
- Manage and respond to challenging behaviour using a calm, therapeutic approach
- Follow care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to team meetings and handovers
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, professionals, and families to ensure the best outcomes

**Skills & Experience Required**
- Previous experience in a children’s residential or care setting (preferred but not essential)
- Compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to supporting young people
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to challenging situations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins (as required)

**Qualifications**
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - desirable
- Willingness to complete relevant training if not yet qualified
