Assistant Herdsperson

If you are seeking a chance to build a career in dairy farming then this is an excellent opportunity to join a highly motivated dairy team based in Somerset. We milk approximately 550 holstein and 120 jersey cows twice a day through a new Boumatic 40:40 rapid exit parlour. We are a high yielding housed herd with exceptionally high milk solids and we sell our milk to Saputo to make Cathedral City Cheese. Our housing, milking, feeding and calf rearing facilities are all built in the last 5 years and are designed to make life comfortable for the cows and easy for the dairy team.

We expect hard work, and sometimes long hours, but aim to balance time off away from the farm. We are a great place to learn and grow, a fun place to work and the pay is pretty good too. We want people who want to share our love of all things dairy. We run a 3 week rota while aiming for an average of 45-50 hours.
