art-K is a private art education service which teaches children (who love art) weekly during the day, after school and on the weekend. art-K has developed a specialist art program that tutors art skills to create great pieces of art. We are the largest art education service in England, teaching over 5000 children nationally per week

We’re looking to find a passionate, motivated and friendly Part Time Branch Manager to join our team at art-K Maidstone Time will be dedicated to teaching students and branch management responsibilities.

The successful applicant will be given full training in our teaching methods and techniques to run the club. The employee will be closely supported by the central support team as well as other art teachers, each based in their own art studio.

- Have face-to-face training on all art projects by Kathryn, the Creative Director.
- Undergo training on administration and growth which is intrinsic to the club's development.
- Work on projects to contribute to the art-K programme by liaising with the whole team.
- Build relationships with students and parents, who continue learning at art-K for many years.
- Manage ad-hoc studio maintenance.
- Allocate tasks within the branch to the part time teachers (including the L2 individuals who will function as PT teachers in branch from now on), assistant teachers and assistants.
- Track studio’s growth, retention and customer service in upholding the brands standards.
- Hold reviews for individuals in the branch (Excluding those L2 individuals) including part time teachers, assistant teachers and assistants as and when required.
- Plan out resources to open up capacities in classes and workshops to ensure the classes are maximised and support requests to identify resources for running parties/events from your pool of art assistants, part time and/or assistant teachers..
- Lead outreach to grow brand awareness locally, including schools, leafleting, other local businesses. You may delegate these ideas to other team members.
- Studio management; responsible for ensuring processes for stock (including stock for parties that may happen from time to time), cleanliness and organisation are upheld.
- Be a giving person who is passionate about students' artistic development.
- Be an excellent communicator to encourage students on their projects and discuss progress with the customer.
- Have a positive attitude to create a welcoming and safe environment for students.
- Be growth-orientated mindset, especially towards learning and development
- Be proactive and organised approach to managing tasks.
- Contribute with creative solutions.
- Be motivated whilst working independently, embracing the responsibility and autonomy.
- Excited to work with a family-owned brand within a conscientious team.

**And ideally have**:

- Art degree or teaching degree
- Art skills in a range of mediums
- Experience teaching with children
- Strong computer skills
- Long term commitment to previous roles

**Sick Pay**:Following probation, enhanced sick pay policy; 3 weeks full pay in any 12 month period.

**Salary**: £20058 - £27645 per year, fixed salary weighted based on experience, which will increase as the club grows. Salary is reviewed every term.

**Term time**: Wednesdays to Saturdays. During school holidays hours worked Mondays to Fridays (14 weeks per year).

**Expected hours**:24-32 per week
