Role overview
Job Summary
The Stores Team Leaders will be responsible for the efficient operation of the stores area, including
supervising other members of Stores, supplier returns, stock checks & stock rotation, as requested,
customer returns and stores organisation and coordinate the daily warehousing activities.Ultimately, you should be able to ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations
Role Responsibilities
Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching, and assuring quality of goods
Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee’s performance
Organize and maintain inventory and storage area
Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy
Communicate job expectations and coach team members
Determine staffing levels and assign workload
Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems
Maintain items record, document necessary information, and utilize reports to project warehouse status
Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
Confer and coordinate activities with other departments
Health & Safety
To ensure equipment is regularly maintained, is in good working order and is being used safely for the purpose for which it was designed.
To identify process improvements and suggest recommendations
To champion 5S
Ensure that team members are adequately trained in safe tool and MHE use
Ensure safe working practices are maintained and current legislation adhered to
Comply with company health and safety policy and procedure
Maintain good housekeeping standards and improve where necessary

Person Specification
Requirement
Experience and Knowledge
Proven Experience of working within a Warehouse environment
Experience of supervising others
Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency
Experience of Stock Control procedures
Experience of picking and packing to orders
Experience of working with quality procedures (e.g., ISO
Health & Safety knowledge and experience.
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing / CI.
Skills, Competencies and Abilities
Ability to input, retrieve and analyse data from relevant systems
Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills
Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
Confident decision-making ability
