**Assistant Financial Controller**

Job Specification

We are currently looking for a passionate and driven Assistant Financial Controller, to join our clients Finance Department.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced growing manufacturing business and work alongside the Financial Controller to implement new systems, processes and internal controls to support the unprecedented growth and continuing success of our company.

This will be a very 'handson’ role and a 'no job too small’ attitude is essential - You will assist with a range of roles and responsibilities which may involve posting a supplier invoice onto Sage one minute while in the next breath discuss KPI’s and marginanalysis with the CEO

Roles and responsibilities will include:

- Assist in Debtor and Creditor control
- Assist in processing supplier invoices in foreign currencies (Euro & USD) and an understanding of the correct exchange rate needed
- Assist where needed in matching purchase invoices to purchase orders and goods received notes, ensuring the appropriate approval process is followed
- Monitoring the importing of goods purchased
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Bank account reconciliations including those in foreign currencies (Euro & Dollar), resolving queries and reconciling differences
- Assist in all other month end Balance Sheet account reconciliations including VAT and Net Wages.
- Cashflow monitoring and forecasting
- Discounting Facility reporting and reconciliation
- Intercompany /Connected Company account reconciliations and reporting
- Assist in the monthly preparation of financial statements and analyse variances between actuals and budget for all revenues and expenditure streams with a target date of completion to be the 10th working day of the following month.
- Assist in providing financial guidance in the formulation and implementation of budget and forecasts
- Responding to queries both internal and external with an exceptionally high standard of customer service to both.

- Fri Hours: 9.00am - 5.00pm

To be successful in this role you will need:

- Sage Line 50: 2 years minimum
- AAT Qualified or ACCA/CIMA part qualified: Desirable
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Excellent analytical skills and highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
