Senior Gardener

**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Oversee the maintenance and development of gardens, ensuring they are well-kept and visually appealing.
- Perform regular groundskeeping tasks including mowing, trimming, weeding, and planting.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out gardening tasks safely and efficiently.
- Implement irrigation systems to ensure optimal water supply for plants and monitor their effectiveness.
- Maintain records of plant care, including watering schedules, fertilisation, and pest control measures.
- Educate junior staff on best gardening practices and provide training as required.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is essential.
- Strong knowledge of horticulture, including plant types, growth patterns, and care requirements.
- Proficiency in using both hand tools (e.g., spades, pruners) and power tools (e.g., lawnmowers, hedge trimmers).
- Familiarity with irrigation techniques and systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality work.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks throughout the day.
