Engineering Manager

Main duties for the engineering manager include:

- To manager and develop performance of the engineering department
- Develop strategies to ensure the budget is efficient, effective and on target for the department
- Produce reports on KPIs and push performance across all areas of the site
- Controlling and ordering parts
- To work closely with production and operations, and make sure the departments are running together smoothly
- Contractor control
- Implementing continuous improvement projects
- Assessing equipment and identify repairs required
- Driving OEE improvements for the production lines
- Carry out 1-2-1s and training with the team of engineers
- Recruit and hire members for the team
Skills and experienced required/desired of the successful engineer:

- Previous management or team leader responsibilities in an FMCG engineering team
- A time served apprenticeship or qualification in engineering
- Previous experience of driving continuous improvement projects
- Experience in project management (desirable)
