Duties
- To provide support to a wide range of adults to help them with there every day needs in their own homes and in the local community
- Provide compassionate care ,understanding and support that is centred on the individual needs and wishes of each client.
- Assist with personal care and toileting requirements
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and dosage instruction
- Monitor and document changes in clients' health status
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding as necessary
- Support clients in maintaining a clean and safe living environment
- Help with domestic duties in the home
- provide support to access the community
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and their family
**Qualifications/Criteria**
- Certificate in care, NVQ in health and social care or nursing degree
- Manual handling
- First aid
- Proficiency in medication administration and management
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- driving licence required
- own transport is a must
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Patience, empathy, and compassion for individuals requiring care
Working hours
4pm - 9pm
- Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviours, particularly in dementia care
- Confident to lone work in the community
- Good time keeping skills
- Be willing to travel around the Wakefield area
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: £11.94-£12.96 per hour
Expected hours: 5 - 16 per week
