Dixons Academies Trust are looking to recruit a Caretaker with the necessary drive, enthusiasm, ambition and commitment to complement our already well established multi-academy trust (MAT) and support our Shared Services team through the next phase of growth_. _Offering £22,369- £24,054 per annum on flexible hours (part time / full time options available), onsite at our Croxteth, Liverpool schools.

Dixons Academies Trust is a rapidly expanding family of 16 schools serving the communities of Leeds, Bradford, Manchester and Liverpool. The Dixons Central team includes experts from a range of backgrounds, who work together to provide an outstanding serviceto our Academies.

About the Caretaker role:
Applicants must provide a high quality caretaking service by using established standards, procedures and safe working methods that deliver a clean, hygienic, safe and pleasant environment for staff, students and visitors to work in.

Caretaker Key Responsibilities:

- Secure the academy.
- Maintain the exterior of the building to the required specification, including the long-term management and maintenance of planting, lawn areas, etc.
- General maintenance and minor repair work to the fabric, fixtures, fittings and furniture of the building(s).
- Painting and redecoration.
- Porterage duties and the moving of furniture including the set-up of functions such as parent’s evenings.
- Empty internal communal rubbish bins daily, collect paper and confidential waste, ensure external waste is stored appropriately and work with students on recycling initiatives.
- Maintain heating and other general services of the academy under the direction of the Campus Manager.
- Traffic management at the start and end of the academy day ensuring sudents arrive / leave the building safely.
- Maintain your equipment.
- Operate relevant equipment / IT packages.
- Consistently implement all academy policies.
- Report any safeguarding concerns immediately to a Designated Safeguarding Lead.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested.

Caretaker Requirements:

- Full UK driving licence.
- Literate and numerate: able to complete timesheets, order forms and other procedural documents.
- Able to work as a team or alone.
- Able to listen and act on instructions, both verbal and written.
- Mission-aligned.
- Strong moral purpose and drive for improvement.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- NVQ Level 1 and 2 in Caretaking (Desirable)
- Health and Safety qualification IOSH (Desirable)
