**About the client**:
Our client is a surgery based in Shrewsbury, plays a pivotal role in providing essential healthcare services to the local population. The dedicated team of healthcare professionals at the surgery is committed to delivering high-quality and patient-centered care. Services provided by the surgery include general consultations, preventive care, and various medical procedures.

**Hours of work**:
Monday to Friday, between the hours of 17:00 - 21:00

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Thoroughly disinfect and sanitise medical equipment, surfaces, and patient rooms.
- Follow strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
- Properly handle and dispose of medical waste according to guidelines.
- Clean and sanitise public areas like waiting rooms, restrooms, and corridors.
- Perform specialised cleaning in critical areas like operating rooms.
- Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies in patient and public areas.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is well-maintained and functional.
- Communicate maintenance issues promptly to supervisors.
- Keep accurate records of cleaning activities for compliance.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, using PPE as needed.
- Respond to emergency cleaning situations effectively.
- Collaborate with cleaning and medical staff for a clean environment.
- Clean and sanitise toilet blocks and the office on site.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Cleaning Operative or similar role
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- Good communication skills to report any issues or concerns to management
