An opportunity has arisen for two Key Workers with Special Interest to join our Employment team within The Growth Company, who will actively engage with individual participants, ensuring that through the delivery of a multi-channel, multi-agency and multi-place service delivery model, the participant is enabled and empowered to successfully complete their personal journey into, and progression within the working environment

Key Responsibilities - Core
- Named single point of contact for coordinating and sequencing services on behalf of their individual participants
- Working with participants to progress them on their journey towards employment and overcoming their work, skills, health and personal circumstances barriers to ultimately support participants into sustainable work
- Responsible for making the right connections with local services, through a multi-agency approach, (supported by the Partnership & integration Manager and any relevant Keyworkers with Special Interest) to coordinate a focused package of support for each participant
- Able to support participants with appropriate prioritisation of solutions for personal circumstances, skills, health as well as employability
- Promoting anti-discriminatory practice in ways which are consistent with professional and legislative frameworks and organisational policies

Keyworkers with Special Interests (KWsi) will possess and continue to develop specific knowledge about common areas of support such as:

- Self-Employment
- Debt Management
- Addiction
- Learning Difficulties
- Physical Disabilities
- Effective Social Prescribing
- English for Work
- Ex-Offenders
- Financial Support
- Housing and Homelessness
- Equality & Diversity
- Digital literacy
- Mental Health
- Neuro diversity

KWsi will provide Participants with specialist advice and guidance in the key areas as listed above.
- KWsi will develop single points of contact with key partner agencies in liaison with the Partnership & Integration Manager (e.g. Housing Officers, Individual Placement and Support Services) while servicing the diverse and complex needs of our participants
- KWsi may be required to provide support and guidance to all participants in relation to their special interest area from outside of their local region
- KWsi will support all KWs through methods such as case conferencing or joint appointments to upskill the KW in the special interest area
- KWsi will have responsibility for generation of relevant and localised content to support participants and staff in relation to their special interest area. This could range from fact sheets, to working with the Digital Content Manager or facilitation of events with invited guests
- KWsi will have responsibility to provide group based as well as one to one support for participants in relation to their area of special interest

About You
- Working with and placing individual customers in to suitable and sustained employment
- Experience in the guidance, advice & counselling environments
- Knowledge in relation to the issues affecting individuals with multiple barriers to progressing to employment and sustained employment
- Knowledge in relation to the support agencies that can assist with individuals with complex needs (e.g. debt, substance misuse, housing etc)
- A warm, approachable empathetic style and the ability to establish a rapport and build relationships with customers that support their progression to sustained employment

Skills Required
- Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing and negotiating skills
- Experience of working with people with multiple and complex needs, including health conditions and disabilities
- Proven experience of developing expert knowledge in a specialist area is desirable
- Experience of working on outreach and lone working
- Ability to work in a target driven environment, with a focus on the successful achievement of job outcomes and sustained outcomes
- High level guidance skills, with the ability to deliver one-to-one and group sessions to at least Grade 2 standard

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: Up to £27,000.00 per year
