Our client is a leading services based business, who are looking to recruit a Graduate/ Junior Internal Auditor into their experienced, knowledgeable team. Instantly recognisable within the market place, with offices based just outside of central Harrogate,this business has experienced a strong period of growth and as a result are looking to grow the team.
The role will primarily be focused upon ensuring that the company is following all external regulations and internal policy and procedure. An element of travel will be required and a car is provided as part of the package. The client is also open to supportingsomeone who would like to study IIA, ACCA or CIMA. The client can offer flexible working, with ideally three days in the office and two days from home.
As a Graduate/Junior Internal Auditor you will be reporting to a supportive and engaging Audit Manager and your main duties will initially include but are not limited to the following:

- Key responsibilities of the role are:

- Carrying out the full financial audit process for the full business and it's different entities
- Responsible for contributing to audit and assurance projects
- Working closely with different departments within the business such as IT, compliance and he data teams
- Responsible for particular projects from start to finish, looking at processes, approached and advising on best practice
- Determining the impact of any issues and mitigating any risks where possible
- Preparing reports for internal clients and the audit committee
- Presenting information to Audit Manager and senior members of the finance team
- Identifying anomalies and errors and advising on improved processes and policies
- Providing guidance on audit design to ensure continuous improvement and development
- Going out to visit sites when appropriate and staying overnight on occassion
- Have a relevant finance degree and will pick up new skills and systems quickly
- Have a placement year from their degree or will have some practical work experience within a finance function. This can be within audit or from within transactional finance
- Have excellent IT skills, with strong Excel skills
- Be driven and will have an analytical approach and mindset
- Have excellent communication skills and will be comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders across the business
