**Job Summary**
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented **Design Draughtsperson** to join our engineering team. The role has the option to evolve from technical design work into project management and engineering sales. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career with exposure to various aspects of engineering.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Create accurate design layouts, detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings using CAD, adhering to company design standards.
- Collaborate with engineering team to ensure design feasibility.
- Maintain meticulous attention to detail throughout the design and documentation process.
- Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and internally across departments to ensure designs meet required technical specifications cost effectively.

**Future Responsibilities**:
As the role develops, you will have the opportunity to:

- Assume project management responsibilities, coordinating across departments and external partners.
- Assume responsibility for project coordination and delivery.
- Contribute to engineering sales by providing technical input and engaging with clients to develop tailored solutions.

**Requirements**:

- Qualification in mechanical engineering or a related field (HND level or higher).
- Work experience in an engineering environment preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar) preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A proactive and adaptable mindset, with a willingness to learn and grow within the role.

Pay: From £40,000.00 per year
