**Job summary**:
Ofgem is Great Britain’s independent energy regulator. We’re at the forefront of change across the energy sector, driving towards Net Zero whilst protecting energy consumers, especially vulnerable people.
The roles are distributed as follows:
Transmission Network Planning - 1 role
Regional Energy Strategic Planning - 1 role
Demand Connections - 2 roles
Connections Reform and Governance - 1 role
These roles provide the opportunity to contribute to policy decisions that will guide how Britain’s energy system evolves. **Job description**:

**Person specification**:
Essential:
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage constructively and transparently with internal and external stakeholders, and to clearly convey complex issues to non-expert audiences. **(LEAD)**:
- Proven experience and strong skills in policy development, including: identifying, analysing, and articulating complex problems; working with analytical, technical, and legal professionals to develop solutions and options; and presenting policy recommendations that consider the trade-offs and risks, and dependencies that help senior colleagues reach a decision.
- Good project management skills with demonstrable experience of delivery in fast paced environment;
- Knowledge or experience of the energy sector.
Desirable:
- Experience of people management, either directly or in a matrix working environment.
- Knowledge or experience of energy system planning and/or energy regulation.
