**Cascade Corporation are the world leader in the design and manufacture of forks and material handling equipment for lift trucks. The UK site is based in Openshaw, Manchester and is responsible for manufacturing and supplying Europe with forks for lift trucks. Our mission is focused on customer satisfaction by providing excellent quality of products and services.**

We are looking for a hardworking and conscientious employee to join our company as a factory labourer. You will be trained as a grinder. Experience of using angle and die grinders is advantageous but full training will be given. The successful person must be hardworking and able to produce good quality work whilst keeping pace with the line.

**Responsibilities**:

- To use angle and die grinders to polish steel forks to the required standard
- To work in a line environment as part of a team and achieve the daily targets
- To ensure grinding meets quality expectations
- Good housekeeping and general cleanliness of the grinding area at all times

**Skills & Experience**:

- Must have experience of working in a heavy manufacturing environment
- Must have experience of working in a production line to targets
- Must be used to a physical role
- Knowledge of working with large products is an advantage
- Must have attention to detail
- Must be able to adhere to health and safety procedures and work in a safe manner
- Preferable experience of slinging and chain use however full training will be provided

**Benefits**
- Pay is £14.44 per hour
- Hours are based on a weekly rotating 2 shift pattern:
Pattern 1 (Nights) 6pm-6am Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday

Pattern 2 (Days) 6am-6pm Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday, 6am-2pm Thursday

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £14.44 per hour
