My client is looking to take on a Material Controller for their procurement team near the Clevedon area. This person will be responsible for ensuring that all ordered supplies are efficiently managed within the necessary deadlines, satisfying internal and externalrequirements. This is a hands-on role that will mostly be based on the shop floor.
Manufacturing - Engineering - Purchasing - Communication - Supply Chain - Procurement - Production - Negotiation - Automotive - Materials - Stock Control
**The Material Controller will ideally have the following attributes**:

- Previous experience working in a role managing inventory in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- The ability to prioritise and delegate workload
- Experience using SAP systems or similar
- Excellent communication skills to be able to work effectively with colleagues at all levels
- Team working and problem-solving skills
- Can work well under pressure to achieve deadlines
- Being adaptable to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Computer literate with a good level of experience working with MS Excel and Word

**The Material Controller role will involve**:

- Overlooking the storage and levels of stock kept on site
- Investigating and working to resolve any shortages of stock and delivery discrepancies
- Liaising effectively with production and engineering teams to ensure the cost and time effectiveness of purchasing strategies
- Ensuring the quality of products purchased align with the established requirements
- Controlling inventory levels by carrying out stock takes reporting any issues
- Informing and liaising with the production and purchasing teams of any issues with stock to ensure a timely and effective production line
- Building and maintaining relationships with colleagues throughout the business.
