Hybrid - Assistant Accountant

As an Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with policies and procedures. You will report directly to the Finance manager, working as part of a growingand well-established team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting, inter company and month end close activities.
**Client Details**
We are working with one of the UK's largest engineering company in Warrington. They are now opening their business into Europe after a strong 5 years. Due to this they require an additional Assistant Accountant to join the growing finance department.
**Description**
- Management of Fixed Asset Register including reconciliation to general ledger, depreciation entries, additions and disposals
- Compilation and submission of the group VAT return
- Managing the Capex and Projects for the site
- Corporation Tax calculations including consolidation of all UK entities
- Prepare accounts for two UK entities including monthly submission into Hyperion and annual planning/quarterly forecasts
- Participate in inventory stock counts
- Tracking onsite maintenance spend and liaising with Engineering team to ensure we remain on target with annual plan
- Cost centre variance analysis, comparing budget and actual costs
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Inter-company reconciliations
- Cashpool and bank reconciliations
**Profile**
- AAT qualified or CIMA part qualified (or similar)
- Strong accounting knowledge/experience, preferably in manufacturing
- IT - Hyperion, SAP
- Confidence to work with other departments as well as external parties
- Strong Excel skills
- Team player attitude
