**Assistant Buyer**

As an Assistant Buyer,you’ll get to kickstart your buying career in this fast-paced role. You’ll support our Buyer and Senior Buyer to bring a fantastic range of products to our customers.

With the chance to help negotiate and work with some famous brands and suppliers, you’ll get hands-on experience at the heart of a highly skilled team whilst enjoying the autonomy to build great relationships and achieve your goals. Whatever direction you take in the future, you’ll be well equipped to progress.

As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for:

- Helping to manage supplier relationships in line with our category strategy
- Selecting and negotiating product ranges and pricing
- Keeping tabs on the competition so we can set competitive prices
- Analysing trading performance and recommending actions to drive our business

You will need:

- A relevant degree (or equivalent), e.g. Marketing, Merchandising, Retail or Business
- Experience working with suppliers or within a commercial or buying team
- To be organised, analytical and numerate with good judgment
- Strong commercial awareness and a sense of customer needs
