Role: Senior Solution Architect ( Outside IR35)

Duration: 24 months

Location: London ( hybrid 2 days on site)

**Key Knowledge / Skills**
- Has held the role of Senior Solution Architect or similar for at least 3 years.
- Expert in MS Azure technologies (including but not limited to: - API Manager, Active Directory, Functions, Storage, Service Bus etc)
- Good knowledge of mobile app development - both iOS and Android
- Geospatial systems experience / knowledge (preferable)
- Has demonstrable experience of working on projects of a similar size, nature and complexity as RUC over the past 5 years
- Has significant experience of documenting high and low level designs for complex systems
- Has significant experience of working in an architecture role within an Agile delivery environment
- Has significant experience of estimating the cost of technical projects, including resources and infrastructure
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- SFIA competency-based resources would be desirable.

**Key Accountabilities**
- The creation of architecture documentation for systems which support solution development. Including:

- Create a logical solution model Create a conceptual/logical/physical data model Create non functional requirements Create scenarios and traceability to main architecture components Create the module breakdown structure
- The 'systems scope' will include but not limited to the following generic system types - ticketing solutions, revenue collection, call centre solutions such as Customer Relationship Management, workforce management, and asset management systems.
- The Solution Architect will work at project level and accept work packages identified and scoped by the Consultant Architect Lead or Solution Architecture Manager.
- Ensure that the solution architecture meets the non functional requirements such as reliability, scalability, performance and resilience. The Solution Architect will be accountable for the end to end integrated solution.
- Manage the architecture delivery for a piece of work that is delivered over a 6 month period.
- Have the ability to take a well defined set of requirements as input into the architecture creation process. Prerequisite is that the requirements have been documented and approved by the customer.
- Implement the Architecture Standards & Principles in relation to solutions deployed by the business.
- Provide input into the project planning stage for the component cost estimates as defined by the new architecture.
- Analysing the current environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.

**Experience**
- Have a detailed understanding of IT systems with specific experience of designing software solutions in two of:

- Web site solutions
- Scalable solutions
- Proven experience of designing software within an overall agile development process. Familiar with some of the tools

**Knowledge**
- Detailed knowledge of software architecture patterns for internal web sites, external web sites, back office transactional systems and workflow engines.
- Knowledge of UML including functional decomposition, use cases, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, components and interface design.
- Industry knowledge of Information technology trends particularly those within public transport operations and smart cards.

Degree, or equivalent qualification such as TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework
