Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
You will have skills and experience relevant to this clinical field and be able to work well as part of a team. You will work closely with other members of the Learning Disability team to support adults with complex communication and eating/drinking difficulties as part of a holistic, service user centred service and be confident in providing high quality, evidence based assessments and interventions and possess excellent communication and organisational skills.
You will have a varied caseload, including adults who have a learning disability, challenging behaviour and/or mental health needs and require specialist Speech & Language Therapy in a range of locations across Flintshire and Wrexham. Development of clinical pathways and leading on projects as well as training, supporting and mentoring staff will be important aspects of this role. You will work closely with the Speech and Language Therapy Community Team Leader and other band 7 staff to continue to drive and shape our services.
You will be part of a changing, supportive and highly skilled team of SLTs and Technical Instructors. Our friendly and forward thinking department has a strong commitment to CPD and regular clinical supervision. Access to specialist training is available via internal and external courses, as well as mentoring, clinical supervision, attendance at regional and national CEN meetings.
