We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic individuals to join us as a Lunch Cover Assistant on a part-time basis. Under the supervision and guidance of senior staff you will provide the highest level of care for children attending the nursery working from 12pm to 2pm Monday to Friday. (Additional part time hours based on the needs of the business can also be offered)

In this role you will ensure
- The individual needs of children are identified and met during staff lunch period.
- Positive working relationships with children and staff.

Job Purpose:
To work in the nursery supporting, developing and extending play across the curriculum. Experience of working within the EYFS is essential, a kind and calm manner a must, along with a sense of humour and the ability to work as part of a growing team. A passionate to see young children develop and the ability to be empathetic to their needs is essential

We are looking for someone that is caring and has a passion for working in childcare. You will need to be flexible towards your working hours / days, hardworking and a team player.

Required Qualifications:

- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Early Years and Education
- Paediatric first aid certificate (ideally in date)
- Previous Safeguarding Training
- (In relation to the Department of Education Early Years Qualification List, Health and Social Care training is not considered to be a full and relevant qualification for the EYFS and Health and Social Care Qualifications will not be considered for this role)
- Experience of working in a children's day nursery
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to observe and records children's progress
- Good IT skills in order to carry out recording the children's daily information on our online portal
- Enthusiasm and a passionate approach to early years development
- Skills to deliver high quality childcare
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
