Compliance Officer

**Principal Objectives of Position**:
- To support the administrative activities of the business to enable correct compliance with accredited recycling contracts.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist in generating reports on materials coming into site including photographic evidence and composition analysis of goods received.
- To communicate on a regular basis with the Director and External consultants, as required, regarding any issues.
- To act as a central point of contact pertaining to the administration of health, safety, quality and environmental procedures.
- To support the process for environmental and waste management.
- To support the weighbridge and general administration, including transfer notes, sales and accounts.
- To fully contribute towards the overall safe and successful business performance and growth of the Company.
- Project work as needed
**Experience, Qualifications & Personal Attributes**:
- Good level of education (equivalent to GCSE Grade 5 (C) or above in Mathematics and English)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good organisational skills and ability to work under pressure
- Determined and resilient, with the drive to complete tasks
- Excellent analytical, numeric and IT skills (including intermediate use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Ability to follow strict checklists and guidance to ensure compliance with parameters set by external contractors.
- Computer literate
- Ability to be self-motivated as well as good teamwork
- Previous experience in waste/recycling industry preferable
- Previous compliancy experience
**Full Training will be provided.**
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift

- Scunthorpe: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
