Reporting to the Head of Global Patient Solutions (GPS), Gilead’s business unit that partners with governments and communities to reduce the disproportionate disease burden in low - and middle-income countries, the role will be accountable for developing and delivering both commercial and access strategies for Gilead’s product portfolio. For late clinical stage assets and new indications, the role will partner with Global Commercial Strategy Organisation (GCSO) for insights generation, Value & Access, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Product Development & Manufacturing and other key functions at ICR and country level to assess and prioritize opportunities, develop filing sequences, global donor procurement demand strategies and assess resourcing needs and develop launch plans. For brands at commercial stage, the role will in addition partner closely with the GPS Value & Access Pricing (V&AP) function and is a core member of the GPS leadership team (LT). Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Strategic Planning / Marketing- Closely align with Strategic Planning function at ICR level- Prepare for select opportunities for Hepcludex, Trodelvy and oral Remdesivir and ensure commercial and access opportunities are captured in an optimal way for Gilead as a whole- Be aware of LEN HTE and PrEP work to help facilitate best global contact partners- Act as "air traffic control" with local marketing and operations managers to facilitate and harmonize pull requests with global, especially execution leads and established products team in GCPS, including legacy and growth products such as AmBisome and Biktarvy- Drive, align and integrate marketing plans with medical function and plans, aligning to global/regional communications on messaging platform, periodic media training and internal stakeholder engagement planning- Identify key promotional messaging and activities suitable for the needs of GMs and propose implementation towards countries- Guide preparation of distributor meetings on promotional activities, priorities and optimization of field force allocation and deployment of distributors, for affiliate countries, align with local marketing and commercial teams on the same- Work with GPS/ ICR and GCSO and GPS teams to enable the annual Brand POAs- Work with Head of GPS and GMs to ensure GPS goals and objectives are achieved and priority aspects throughout the year identified and escalated to the right fora Knowledge, Skills and Experience We are seeking a strategic and experienced marketing expert with: - Relevant commercial experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry- Must play an active role to operationalize strategic execution with the ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced innovative environment while remaining agile, adaptive, proactive, resourceful and efficient- Strong analytical skills, demonstrated by the ability to identify and interpret complex issues and provide appropriate recommendations to senior management and across functional areas- Highly resourceful and strategic thinker with strong emotional intelligence, operational rigor and project management capabilities- A proven track record in cross-geography collaboration and as a business partner with multiple stakeholders, directly contributing to teams to achieve overall objectives- Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and integrity, represent the company’s high ethics, moral behaviour, and professionalism- Experience of working outside US country experience requiredWe expect everyone at Gilead to lead by example, guided by our core values: - Integrity - Doing What’s Right- Inclusion - Encouraging Diversity- Teamwork - Working Together- Accountability - Taking Personal Responsibility- Excellence - Being Your Best Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) It is the policy of Gilead Sciences, Inc. and its subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively "Gilead" or the "Company") to recruit select and employ the most qualified persons available for positions throughout the Company.
