The Opportunity

We are now looking to recruit a Planning Assistant to work within the Production Planning team. This is a key role within the organisation, as key inputs/deliverables directly impact other functions on site and within the business. T his permanent position will report to the Production Planning Manager.

Partner with and support all Planning Functions to ensure EMEA supply and availability objectives are met.
Ensure production orders are fully processed in SAP and correctly filed as per the agreed site procedure.
Review and correct any SAP scanning issues on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
Generate and circulate KPIs relating to scanning and ghost stock.
Daily Shortage Report review to identify short term requirements, including call off from 3PL and regular liaison with Warehouse and SQA functions to ensure availability of materials for planned production.
Daily review of materials delivered to and stored at 3PL which require quality testing, and efficient call off to site to minimise delays to the expected release dates.
Circulate a daily delivery due list to Warehouse.
Run and circulate a weekly order confirmation update to all suppliers, and update SAP as appropriate. Manage Order Confirmation Mail Box in line with daily changes.
Work with suppliers on past due deliveries ensuring that production plan requirements are met.
Investigate and clear invoice queries.
Manage BOM Spec Amendment process, tracking changes to packaging, amending BOMs, and production orders in line with the phasing plan.

The Skills you will bring to the team
Qualification in supply chain or similar.
Experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally a planning/supply chain based role.
Ability to work under pressure, with multiple challenges and the need to balance conflicting business requirements.
Previous experience working with SAP and / or JDA.
Strong numeracy skills.
Be flexible and be able to work as part of a team.
Be computer literate (Excel, Word and E-Mail etc.).
Possess an excellent verbal and written communication.
Strong time management and organization skills are essential.
