The Opportunity
A long established market leader in their field based in Shepshed are seeking to appoint an experienced Financial Controller to oversee and support a transition where the company is merging into a group of businesses along with another two acquisitions. Thisrole will organically grow into a Group FC role, heading up a small team where each Unit will have it’s own Controller.
Required is a qualified Finance Manager who is keen to take on a challenge, to undertake responsibilities for all Operational Finance and Reporting to the European Parent, supported by a team for which you will be tasked with appointing.
This is a strongly sustainable and stable business, currently £20m turnover, highly thought of in its specialist field and a culturally traditional company with long standing employees and brand loyalty from its customers.
The Role
You’ll be responsible and accountable for overseeing the day to day finance operations in addition for providing the business with key visibility, data and metrics working closely to the UK MD and reporting into group. Supported by 2 x accounts clerks, as theFinancial Controller you’ll be responsible for the reporting of the whole financial performance though detailed management accounts, analysis and statutory reporting ensuring full compliance, inclusive VAT, Taxation, PAYE and the liaison with the company’sauditors along with Group reporting and consolidating the accounts.
There’s also a system implementation on the agenda too. SAP advantageous.
You’ll be an established Finance Manager / Financial Controller with demonstrable experience in sound financial control, people and process management. You’ll be strong in the detail, management accounts, analysis and reporting as well as an excellent processand people manager within finance operations, especially cash management in an environment where “cash is king”.
Where Qualified by experience won’t be ruled out, ACCA / CIMA Qualified is preferred
Sector experience should be manufacturing / engineering / distribution. Experience with an Import / Export business and foreign currency an advantage as well as working within a Group structure

Salary guide is c£55k, 25 days holiday, hybrid working once up to speed.
