The Translation People specialises in providing business to business translation and language services for its international client base through a global network of strategic partners. We are renowned for excellent customer service and our use of cutting edge technology to streamline processes, improve efficiency and lower costs. We have recently secured private equity investment which allows us to accelerate the growth of the company through strong organic growth and a buy-and-build strategy. The Translation People operates from our head office in Manchester, with additional offices in London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Tunbridge Wells, Paris, Bonn, Munich and Boston.

We now have a new opportunity for a Team Leader (Operations) for our Glasgow team. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the project and account management team and supervision of team members. The management of your own translation and localisation projects from quotation stage to final invoicing is also required. You’ll be reporting on the team’s performance and contributing to the strategic goals and objectives of The Translation People.

The tasks include:

- Training and induction of new team members
- Mentoring of all team members
- Managing, coordinating and distributing day-to-day work of the team
- Monitoring team and personal performance against targets and KPIs
- Carrying out appraisals
- Reporting on team performance against budget
- Monitor pricing and margins in line with budgets
- Reporting on needs and requirements of clients to senior management
- Ensure compliance and that quality standards are implemented, adhered to and maintained
- Project management tasks
- Complaint handling and reporting
- Organising and maintaining local office operations and procedures.

We are looking for a Team Leader with English to native standard. Proven experience in a team leader role in the translation industry is essential. You should share our passion for language and delivering a high-quality service.

We are operating a hybrid model with some time spent in the office and some time at home. You are required to have a suitable workspace at home.
