Senior Town Planner (£30 - £45,000 DOE)

Our client is a vibrant and progressive multi-disciplinary planning consultancy based in Cambridgeshire with a job opening for a Senior Town Planner.

About you

Ideally you'll have private sector/consultancy experience and/or relevant public sector experience in planning and development as well as experience in engaging with clients, consultants and other stakeholders.

What you will definitely need to bring to the role is:
*Good knowledge of Microsoft packages & excellent IT skills.
*Good organisational, interpersonal communication and relationship management skills.
*A town planning degree or equivalent and full membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
*Sound knowledge of the planning system together with an interest in a wide range of planning issues.
*Commercial astuteness.
*An ability to manage and prioritise projects on a day-to-day basis.
*An ability to attract new instructions and clients.

About the role

You'll work across various projects, acting on behalf of wealthy individuals, landowners and investors to instigate planning leads and add value to projects.

You'll also be involved in things like

*Providing commercial planning advice to a range of clients.
*Assisting to grow the business client base and to further client relationships.
*Proactively managing engagement with the local planning authority and other stakeholders.
*Compiling robust evidence to support the planning case.
*Preparing high quality planning submissions.
*Issuing fee proposals and invoices.
*Representing the clients commercial interests throughout the planning process.
