P&M Resources Recruiting Reporting to the Works Manager and/or the Operations Manager, the Chemical Processor/Blender works on the machines and production lines that blend adhesives, coatings and binders. Items are manually labelled and products dispensed by tap into tins, bottlesor drums for stock and dispatch. If you have previous experience in chemical blending, this job could be for you. In this job you will need to have patience, as the tasks can be repetitive. You will also need to work well in a small team and on your own carrying out varied tasks. It is a requirement that you have experience of work in a previous role blending chemicals.A "can do" attitude is desirable as this is a physically demanding role and during busy times it can be necessary to change the production schedule. Duties The manufacture of adhesive products is particularly hands on, so your work as the will include: - The blending of adhesive and binders. - The accurate weighing of raw materials and finished goods. - The handling and weighing of liquids and powders. - Stock control experience. - Monitoring the production process. - Labelling and dispensing completed batch production. - The accurate completion of internal documentation. - Loading of completed goods and unloading of incoming goods using fork lifts trucks. - Ensuring that both equipment and work areas are cleaned and maintained. Hours Factories are usually noisy and can be hot or cool, depending on the time of year and products being manufactured. You would wear protective clothing provided by the company. The successful applicant will have a pass grade (C or above) GCSE Maths and English and have previous experience of work in a blending role in a manufacturing environment.
