A rapidly expanding transport company within a cutting-edge space is hiring a Data Ops Software Engineer to join their expanding London-based team. This company is working on a lot of interesting projects involving machine learning and AI, in partnership witha wide range of extremely successful tech companies. You will be building software and platforms to improve performance, efficiency, and security within the business. They are seeking a motivated Python Software Engineer with experience in DevOps or DataOps;looking for fast progression inside a dynamic and supportive team atmosphere.

**THE COMPANY**:
The company is an ever-growing global AI-based leader within the transport and logistics space, looking to double its headcount this coming year, evolving and expanding into multiple new regions and countries. Their massive customer base and consistent performancehave led to a strong turnover as a result, as well as helping to reduce carbon emissions. They are looking for a strong applicant to work closely on backend software amongst a technically proficient team within a fast-paced, expansive environment.

**THE ROLE**:
As a DataOps Software Engineer, you will have an expansive range of responsibilities, including:

- Design, development, and upkeep of required software using Python
- Establishing and promoting the use of best practices in the software engineering life cycle
- Managing cloud tech, working with AWS
- Undertaking Automation projects to improve efficiency
- Picking up new data pipelines and maintaining existing ones
- Improving security across the business
- DevOps tasks and supporting analytics engineers on their projects
- Collaborating with data engineers and wider team

**YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**:
A successful DataOps Engineer for this role will have:

- Commercial experience as a Python Backend Software Engineer
- Commercial experience working with DevOps or DataOps
- In-depth experience of AWS and cloud technologies
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines ideally in Jenkins
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with Automation
- Good communication skills both at the technical and non-technical level
- Experience with Terraform
- Experience with Git

**THE BENEFITS**:
The salary range for this role is £65,000 - £75,000 alongside pension contributions and is hybrid
