We’re looking for a Food and Beverage Team Member. In this role, you’d be making a real difference to the work of the National Trust, as well as helping to give people a memorable day out.

**Contract type: This is a zero-hour contract, meaning we can’t guarantee a set number of hours each week.**While we aim to provide a consistent work pattern, flexibility is needed as schedules may change based on business needs. We’ll try to give as much notice as possible. The role includes weekends and Bank Holidays but does not require evening or split shifts.

**Contract duration**:Fixed term contract until 28th February 2026

**Working pattern**:Start & finish times will vary from week to week but your earliest shift starts at 9am and the latest finishes 6pm. Availability to work Monday to Friday as well as regular weekends and bank holidays is required.

**Salary**:£12.25 per hour

**Interview date**:Monday 13th or Tuesday 14th October 2025.

What you'll be doing:As a Team Member, your focus will be both front of house and back of house helping support our small kitchen team. You’ll welcome and look after everyone who comes to the café. With your love of working with people, your ‘can-do’ attitude and your desire to provide an outstanding service, you’ll be making sure everyone has an enjoyable time. This is a lively business that’s constantly on the go, so teamwork and adaptability are crucial.

You’ll be keen to understand what people want, and have an enjoyable experience. You’ll always keep the standards of food and drink preparation and presentation high. Using your excellent eye for detail, you’ll make sure all displays and signs are accurate and looking good. At times, you may need to help make sandwiches, prepare food for the day ahead and baking.

We’ll give you an induction that fits the job, and training in allergens and food safety, plus any mentoring needed to help you in your role. You can sign up for further professional training and development if you wish.
