Depot Engineer

£35-45,000 (depending on experience) + excellent package including generous leave, defined contribution pension scheme and overtime. Exciting opportunity for an experienced Depot Engineer with supervisory and hazardous area environment experience, to join our client's Plymouth based bulk fuel storage operations, as they embark on a multi-million pound investment programme. Your will be accountable for all maintenance and engineering matters on-site regardless of discipline. The post holder will interface with the central engineering team, lead the execution of minor new works, and ensure the site remains compliant againstthe Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule of inspections. They provide positive working environment together with strong safety and team work ethic, which is central to their core values. *For this role you must demonstrate previous upper Tier COMAH site experience with some supervisory skills* The role: - Deputising for the Ops Manager and Depot Manager - Support to the project team using CMMS system - Leadership of maintenance team on depot maintenance projects. - Plant maintenance - Planned preventative maintenance compliance - SSOW compliance - Issuing of Permits - Be part of a Rostered Depot "On-Call" Team. The Depot Engineer is accountable for all engineering matters on site regardless of discipline. Line Manager for maintenance technicians (Mechanical and Electrical). Providing training, direction and support to new and existing staff. Providing coaching and performance management of team members. On a yearly basis, produce Team Performance Plans (TPP) and Individual Performance Plans (IPP) for direct reports. Experience/qualifications: You will need to be an experienced maintenance supervisor/manager, able to demonstrate strong leadership skills with a focus on ensuring a positive culture, and that safety standards are maintained and improved at Thanckes. You will be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the requirements of an upper tier COMAH installation, and the safety culture which must prevail in such establishments and able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the petroleum supply chainand the working arrangements of a Petroleum storage depot. A full driving licence is essential for this post as some occasional travel will be required.
