**SEND Teaching Assistant**

Tradewind are recruiting now Are you a Teaching Assistant with experience supporting SEND within mainstream settings? Are you searching for a new role in Nottingham City Centre ?

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking an inspiring teaching assistant who can confidently enable a wide range of learners to maximise their learning potential. This is opportunity is available to start asap in a supportive academy in Nottingham city centre.

This is a 'Good school', the last OFSTED report (Feb 2019) stated 'The leadership team establish a vibrant and energetic learning community. Leaders have developed, together with pupils and staff, a clear vision for the school'

We are looking for:
Experience of working with young people with SEND needs
Comfortable in managing challenging behaviours and confident in your ability to control it
Ability to engage and build rapport with young people
Be creative, proactive, and flexible in your supporting style
To be able to provide a nurturing and caring connection with vulnerable students
Resilience when faced with challenges, the ability to remain calm when faced with testing behaviours.
Primary or secondary curriculum experience as a Teaching assistant
Enhanced DBS on the update service

The role requires supporting a child 121 who is non - verbal and has autism in year 1

This large Primary Academy is located in Nottingham city Centre and is accessible by several bus routes.

- Hold a NVQ Level 3 or have relevant experience
