The Industrial Relations Business Partner will work as part of a small team. The department is responsible for mobilising, organising and influencing a wide array of stakeholders therefore relationship and communication skill in every guise are essential for this role.
**J**ob Purpose**
To provide an SME focal point for industrial relations both within specific jurisdictions within the easyJet network and toward the whole network.
The role is primarily around ensuring easyJet maintains positive and progressive relationships with our union and works council partners. Challenging where necessary but always engaging and open to discussion and information sharing.
Be the active lead in all industrial agreements within the relevant jurisdictions, ensuring the key stakeholders are prepared and ready to engage in negotiation whilst keeping to the mandating process and the overall easyJet strategy.
Ensuring that all local agreements and central CLA/Pay data is recorded and filed appropriately. Active management of all agreements in line with the 2 & 5 year activity plan
**What **you'll** be doing**
Deployment of the ER Agenda
Advise and support both people managers and Country Leadership teams on IR matters including implications in changes to legislation, impact of pay reviews, reward projects, changes to terms and conditions
Work with the HRBP and the central IR team to ensure that the local and national IR agenda & plan is integrated into the people plans and support them in raising capabilities on IR in the line management community.
Support any IR implications of growth and aircraft allocation within the Network
Deliver ad hoc projects as required by the Director of IR
Contribution to policy and process
Maintaining an up to date working knowledge of employee legislation and regulation within the jurisdictions and identifying relevant changes.
Ensuring that easyJet is aware of and compliant with all legislation & regulation in the jurisdictions including delivery any changes to policy, process and procedures and embedding these in the business.
Understanding the implications of any changes in the jurisdiction and project managing these back into the business through changes to policy, maintenance of the IR knowledge database, and ensuring any changes required in processes and procedures are managed with Service Operations
Day to day relationship & supplier management of local employment law professional providers
Insight and Analytics
Analyse local and national IR data to draw insight and identify issues and opportunities for input into the IR agenda
We are looking for a business-focused Industrial Relations specialist with a strong commercial mindset, offering three years of European experience in negotiating with trade unions and work councils. Capable of translating legal issues into practical implications, excelling in change management, data-driven insights, and senior-level influence. Possesses strong project management, negotiation, emotional intelligence, and a willingness to travel.

**Location & Hours of Work**
This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week, hybrid working.
