I am recruiting on behalf of a small, supportive alternative education centre for children aged 11 to 16 years old. The school are Ofsted rated 'Good' and based in Basingstoke, the learners at this educational facility require support for medical, emotionaland behavioural needs.

They are seeking a passionate, engaging Maths teacher who will be able to encourage the students to express their emotions in a therapeutic and positive way, as well as getting them to a level of passing exams.

The students will often require support to build relationships with professionals and you will have the belief and give the support for them to succeed. You should be able to think outside the box and adapt your lessons to create a unique learning environmentfor the individual learners.
As a maths specialist in this school, you will:

- Create an inspirational learning environment
- Focus on learner achievement, success and progression for each individual
- Oversee and co-ordinate development of the Maths department
- Plan and produce schemes of work that meet the curriculum
- Prepare and deliver exciting and innovative lessons
- Identify learning objectives, outcomes and IEPs
- Ensure teaching area is organised appropriately to provide a safe, tidy and stimulating environment
- Confidently teach across the key stages

Ideally you will have experience working with pupils that have complex needs and SEN training but will be considered if you have a willingness to learn and a passion for your role
